  • Nine Southland Football Student-Athletes Earn Academic All-District Honors

The senior defensive back was also named one of 13 finalists for the National Football Foundation’s William V. Campbell Trophy, awarded to the nation’s most outstanding scholar athlete with the best combination of academics, community service, and on-field performance. Central Arkansas and Northwestern State represented the Southland well on the District 6 team with six total selections between the two schools. Representing District 7 are Houston Baptist’s Mev Ajdin and Andre Walker, and Stephen F. Austin’s Marlon Walls.
